Can't order a sandwich without a side order? Gotta spend $20. Outta control. One of many reasons why I almost never come here. And after I got home I just realized they forgot to add the lettuce to my egg sandwich as requested. I called them and the young man said they'd credit me me for my trouble. I asked if he could confirm that, put me on hold then a lady gets on the phone and tells me that since I'm already home eating the sandwich without lettuce they wouldn't credit me for my meal. I told her thanks anyway in my own special way that said I'll never be back again.
We went here drunk after an event on a sunday night. Good food for sure! I asked for "the most popular vegan option" and it turned out to be the spicy vegan burger. I inhaled it, so good. I still dream about it. My bf got a grilled chicken plate which he also really liked. Great place to eat!
One of the hidden gems of DTLA. A true staple in the community. Weather it's for a cheap and easy breakfast or a night cap after too many drinks, LA Cafe is where it's at. I specifically love the Nashville chicken wrap. Absolutely delicious and the chips are a bomb snack for the next few days after delivery. A slept on spot.

I love it here! Outdoor seating.. it's the quintessential DTLA cafe for locals.. they have everything and it's open super late. Am not gonna lie, I would've loved my egg sandwich a little more undercooked but I also didn't mention that when I ordered, and yes it's pricy but everything in LA is pricy right now.. overall am in love 💕
