I met Ike, the owner, 5 years or so ago... maybe 2018? We we're staying close by Pushkin's and decided we would like to try something different. We were completely and totally impressed with the atmosphere, the owner, as well as the food! I am bringing my sister and my mother to California and have decided to fly out of San Diego. We will be going to Pushkin's to have an awesome meal. I am SO excited to see Ike again. As a side benefit and delight, his conservative "politics" lined up perfectly with ours and he became a Facebook friend. I would give him and Pushkin's TEN 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 's if allowed!!

Amazing Experience! I recently visited Pushkin Café, and everything was absolutely perfect! I ordered the Pushkin Burger — it was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. We also had a hookah and an Aperol, and both were amazing! The atmosphere was cozy, the music was great, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. 💯 One of the best places to relax and enjoy your evening! Definitely coming back — highly recommend!

I liked the location, we found parking nearby, and everything inside was clean and beautiful. The interior definitely deserves a thumbs up. The selection of shisha flavors was good, but unfortunately, the execution wasn't very good. Smoking shisha for a whole hour was quite an ordeal; even with the place not being full, the shisha attendant rarely came over and seemed reluctant to help. We had to call him over repeatedly, and unfortunately, he either didn't know how to properly service the shisha or simply didn't want to. Although we were quite polite, we didn't manage to have a decent shisha experience. We won't be coming back here and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Pushing Lounge and Bar is truly one of the hidden gems in the city, and my experience there for my birthday was unforgettable from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere immediately stood out — the vibe is upscale yet welcoming, with the perfect balance of energy, music, and relaxation. Whether you’re looking to unwind with friends, enjoy a date night, or celebrate a special occasion, this place absolutely delivers. What made the night even more special was the hospitality from the owner. Not only was he incredibly friendly and attentive, but I also found out he performs comedy at a local comedy club, which added even more personality and charm to the experience. When he heard it was my birthday, he surprised me with a free dessert, which was such a thoughtful gesture and really showed how much they care about their guests. That kind of personal touch is rare and made the night feel genuinely memorable. One of the most unique things about Pushing Lounge and Bar is the atmosphere they’ve created around community and entertainment. They host chess matches there, which gives the lounge a creative and intellectual vibe that sets it apart from typical nightlife spots. It’s refreshing to find a place where you can enjoy good conversation, competition, and a laid-back social environment all in one setting. The hookah selection is another major highlight. They offer a great variety of flavors, and the quality was top-tier — smooth, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Whether you’re experienced with hookah or just trying it casually, they definitely know what they’re doing. And I have to mention the bartender because the Old Fashioned I had was phenomenal. Perfectly balanced, expertly crafted, and honestly one of the best I’ve had in a long time. You can tell the bartenders here take pride in their craft and pay attention to detail. Overall, Pushing Lounge and Bar exceeded my expectations in every way. Between the amazing atmosphere, outstanding customer service, great drinks, quality hookah, and unique chess events, it’s the kind of place you’ll want to keep coming back to. My birthday celebration there was incredible, and I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a memorable night out.

Amazing experience at Pushkin Lounge & Bar! The hookah was excellent, smooth and flavorful, and the sushi was fresh and delicious. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and outstanding service from start to finish. Definitely one of the best spots to relax, enjoy good food, and spend time with friends. Highly recommend! 🍣💨🔥
