Staff was very rude and laughing at us to the side. They kept trying to blow fake smoke at us to make us leave, but people were already leaving because the vibes were so bad. Every time they asked us a question, they walked away and whispered to themselves and laughed. 0/10 experience. Guys in the photo were the ones being jerks to paying customers.
Absolutely terrible experience at Mother Lode. The short bartender with bleached blond hair gave our group attitude from the second we walked in, then actually threw our friend’s phone instead of handling the situation professionally. I’ve never been someone who skips a tip, but the behavior was rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. Definitely not the welcoming vibe you expect from a gay bar. Won’t be coming back.
Horrible experience. The short bartender with the buzzed blonde fried hair was incredibly rude and disrespectful to me and my friends all night. I placed my phone on the bar for a second to record us, and instead of asking me to move it, he shoved it and made it fall. His attitude was aggressive and insulting the entire time. Management seriously needs to address this because employees like this ruin the experience completely.
The bouncer, manager everyone was awful. The bouncer obviously did not like me for some reason. Maybe I reminded him of his younger mother lolll. It was so strange. I was talking with my friend outside for a little bit and then I tried to go in and he was like you’re way too intoxicated. Im not a big drinker and literally had had one drink the entire night. I told him that and he was just like you’re not getting in you’re not getting in and I was like this is crazy. This is gay weho. These arent exclusive clubs 😭. The manager came out and handed me a bottle of water and was like we’re not letting you in, sweetie. They were really condescending. I was like I’m a grown woman. I’m 39 years old. You don’t have to call me sweetie. He then made fun of my vintage 80s jumper and was like what’s going on here youre unbuttoned. Meanwhile, bro, had his shirt completely unbuttoned down to his belly button, exposing his hairy chest. I pointed this out and he got all flustered and flounced away. Lots of bitter men that run this place.
The bartender refused to make my drink order because i had not tipped him and he claims that tips are required. Low class!
