This is probably the most authentic Filipino Food our family have had since we moved here 10 years ago. The food was definitely made with love like how you would get it from your mom or auntie’s cooking. There’s a certain warmth in that first bite where it transports you back in the Philippines. The staff and co-owners were also very friendly and made sure that everything was to our satisfaction. We’re only visiting SoCal but if you’re looking for a place to make you feel like home, or if you’re looking into trying Filipino food, this is definitely the place to go. We’re already excited and planning to come back here next time we’re in the area!
We came to Manila Inasal for the first time to celebrate Father’s Day, and it definitely won’t be our last! From the moment we walked in, everyone made us feel so welcome. The ambiance was beautiful, warm, cozy, and perfect for celebrating with family. The food was absolutely delicious and every dish was packed with flavor. The staff were incredibly friendly and made our celebration even more special. We can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!
Manila Inasal is hospitality at its finest! The owner comes around and checks in on the table and has many stories to share. He shared how they started as a small hole in the wall place and slowly expanded to this restaurant and how they have exciting things planned for their future menu. He goes over what adaptations they made to certain classic dishes. He will even surprise you and share his other talents as there is a framed sheet of music on the wall that he composed. There is a small stage where they have a live music playing. The night friends and I went, there was a woman playing the guitar and singing. The ambiance is a mixture of being transported to Manila but also sitting in mom’s kitchen all in one. Now to the food! We tried several recommended dishes and they did not disappoint. My favorite was the fried milkfish and the accompanying spicy sauces! So good!! I will suggest to keep in mind flavor profiles and balance in the meal. As delicious as everything was, or maybe because we just ordered so many things, flavor profiles started being heavy and too rich. I would definitely recommend getting the calamansi juice! It is super refreshing! And save room for dessert because they have one of the best ube mochi brownies I have ever eaten!! And they come in perfect little bite sized pieces. The bibingka coconut parmesan cake is an adventure for your taste buds. The play on sweet and salty and bite of the cake is real treat!! Yummy! I also took home the pistachio sans rival cake. They order that from a different place and serve here. Think of it as a super crunchy and nutty napolean layer cake. I cannot say enough good things about Manila Inasal and cannot wait to go back to try all the other things and those ube mochi brownies!! There’s minimal parking on the ground level, but plenty in the garage level below.
Excellent customer service by Allysa Marie and Cali. Staff take time to check on us from time to time to make sure our dining experience is top notch! Highly recommended and don’t forget to order the legendary sisig-the best sisig my family has ever had in LA! Lahat po masarap, walang sayang! Sisig is unforgettable sa sarap! Oh, also have the half and half for your drinks! The serving is good, suoer busog na kami plus may take out pa kami baka abot pa ng dinner at bfast! We will surely be back next month!
Manila Inasal was a great find. I ordered the lunch special with beef tapa and also tried the pork sisig, and both were excellent. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The beef was tender and well seasoned, and the sisig had that perfect balance of richness, texture, and bold flavor that makes it so satisfying. Every dish felt thoughtfully made and full of flavor. I was very happy with the meal and will definitely come back. If you’re looking for well-made Filipino food that delivers on quality and taste, Manila Inasal is absolutely worth trying.
