Vibe, food, drinks were all 10/10. Came here on a date but did not regret dubbing him for the aesthetics in this shop! Loved the service! Very welcoming for someone’s first visit! Worth coming back to try their other items on menu when I’m back in West Hollywood area!! Perfect for outing with friends and date night, highly recommend getting a seat in the patio area. Laurel Hardware is an easy 5/5 for me after this meal. The vibe is laid-back but the food feels way more elevated than your standard night-out spot. The standout was the butternut squash tortellini – rich, silky sauce, perfectly cooked pasta, and those little pops of flavor in every bite. It hit that comfort-food spot without feeling heavy, and I’d come back just for that bowl alone. The margarita pizza was legit too: blistered crust, great chew, and just the right balance of sauce, cheese, and char so every slice tasted like it came out of a legit wood-fired oven. The strawberry salad rounded everything out with fresh greens, bright acidity, and enough texture to make it feel like a real part of the meal instead of an afterthought. Service was relaxed but attentive, and it all worked really well with the casual, buzzy patio energy. If you’re into places where you can hang out for a while, share plates, and still feel like you’re eating something a little special, Laurel Hardware absolutely delivers.

I don’t usually write reviews. In fact, I only leave one when I have a genuinely disappointing experience. My friend and I came to Laurel Hardware for her birthday. The first thing that stood out was the hostess. She wasn’t rude or disrespectful, but she looked visibly unhappy and unwelcoming. First impressions matter, and when you work in hospitality, guests shouldn’t feel like they’re inconveniencing you the moment they walk through the door. We sat down, and our server came over. I asked if I could try the non-alcoholic wine before ordering. She said yes and brought us a taste. She seemed a little bothered by the request, but she wasn’t rude, and everything was fine. Later, I had a question, but our server wasn’t around, so I asked a gentleman nearby. He introduced himself as Nate and said, “I’m Nate. I only have one server on the floor tonight, so I apologize, but I’m happy to help.” He took care of us and was genuinely kind throughout the evening. I ordered the tacos without onions, which meant I couldn’t have the pico de gallo. I asked if they could substitute sliced tomatoes instead. They said yes, but the tomatoes never came. When I asked about them, I was told they only had tomatoes in the pico de gallo. That seemed strange considering they serve burgers and several other dishes with fresh tomatoes. It’s not a huge deal, and I understand that not every restaurant accommodates requests like that, but it was still disappointing. I also ordered the shrimp, and nowhere on the menu did it mention that it was deep-fried. I had to send it back because that’s not what I was expecting. Nate handled it with no problem at all. My friend ordered the duck fried rice with egg, and it turned out to be extremely spicy. Again, that wasn’t mentioned on the menu. She had to send it back as well, and Nate helped us once again. He really made the experience much better. What surprised me was that our server never checked on us. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy—there were maybe four or five tables. She only came back to ask my friend how the replacement dish was after it had been remade. She never asked how my food was or if we needed anything. I think it’s important to check on your tables, especially when the restaurant isn’t busy. My salad also turned out to be spicy, but by that point I didn’t want to keep complaining, so I just ate it. Overall, I don’t think this was the level of service or attention to detail I’d expect for a restaurant at this price point. I do want to say that Nate was wonderful. He was kind, helpful, and professional, and he honestly saved the experience. Without him, it would have been much worse. But what really stuck with me was the hostess. She wasn’t rude, but she looked visibly unhappy, and that set the tone from the moment we walked in. In hospitality, the first impression matters, and I think guests should be welcomed with warmth rather than feeling like they’re interrupting someone’s day.

A fixture in the LA food scene that is a really cool space that used to be a hardware store. Try to get the back patio for dinner since it’s super romantic with all the hanging lights and a cool space. Inside is nice too but a little too dim compared to the outside. Overall, I thought the food was good and well priced and great to share with a group. Some highlights for me was the Burrata, Chicken Wings and their Pizza. The Pasta was good too and freshly made. Service was friendly and would come back!
